Listed as one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Switzerland, Montreux Christmas market keeps innovating. On the shore of Lake Geneva, 140 craftsmen and shop holders present a host of original gifts in decorated and lit chalets: terroir products, jewellery, sculpted objects, and Christmas decorations. To take sustenance, there are fondues, sausages, raclette, gratins, and woodcutter’s tea.

The mezzanine and its workshops in the covered market are intended for children. Located higher up in Caux towards Rochers-de-Naye, the Christmas village welcomes families with young children. Magicians and clowns, Father Christmas’s animals, storytellers and pony outings provide the entertainment. Another destination: the Father Christmas train* takes visitors to his house on top of Rochers-de-Naye where they can meet Father Christmas in person!

Not far from Montreux, Chillon Castle immerses visitors into the Middle Ages with its medieval** market, its craftsmen and shopkeepers in costume. There is nothing better than Montreux Christmas Market to daydream, have fun, relax and marvel.
